Link preview checker
Enter a URL. You'll see which preview tags the page has, what's missing and how the link appears in nine apps, from iMessage to Bluesky.
What the checker looks at.
Title and description
Whether og:title and og:description are set. Without them, apps fall back to the page title or drop the line.
Preview image
Whether og:image is set and loads, how large it is and whether its proportions fit large preview cards.
File size
Large images often don't load in messengers, so the checker flags anything over 600 KB. It reads the size from the server's response.
X card
Whether twitter:card is set. Without it, X tends to show the small card.
Size of the <head>
If the <head> runs past 300 KB, WhatsApp often shows no preview at all, according to user reports.
Video
Whether og:video is set and loads. Apps that play videos use it instead of the image.
Questions about the checker
WhatsApp caches a preview the first time a link is shared and has no tool to refresh it. Share a slightly different URL instead, for example with ?v=2 at the end. For Facebook, use “Scrape Again” in the Sharing Debugger. For LinkedIn, use the Post Inspector.
No. It fetches the page once, reads the tags and shows you the result. None of it goes into OGmotion's database.
The cards are recreations of each app's preview, not screenshots. Spacing and crops can differ slightly, and a link that was shared before often still shows an older version.
Nothing, and you don't need an account. Only creating a preview image and video with OGmotion needs a login by email link.
